ŁÓDŹ IS TO HAVE A NEW RAILWAY STATION

On the 21st of June PKP PLK S.A. showed first visualisations of the new Łódź Fabryczna Railway Station. The meeting held in Łódź was a perfect opportunity to review legal aspects of the project, as stipulated by experts.

The opening of the Railway Station is scheduled for February 2015. The new Łódź Fabryczna Railway Station will be 400 metres in length, 150 m in width and 8 m in height. It will have three main entrances and four 400-metre long platforms located 16 metres under the ground.

This very construction "over"and "under the ground" was the core of the presentation made in Łódź by Piotr Aksanowski, the lawyer at the TRUSIEWICZ & SIWKO LAW FIRM.

Piotr Aksanowski emphasised that in Poland the notion of "layered property" is not clear enough and therefore, it requires some separate legal regulations. Development of all layers of the land available includes both underground tunnels and roads over existent structures. These "three-dimensional" lands have been stipulated for many years in the law of Scandinavian and Asian countries.

In Poland, there have been ongoing talks and consultations referring to the "layered property". Their advancement was discussed by the representative of the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy. The discussion was listened to by, among others, Ms Hanna Zdanowska, the Mayor of Łódź.
